The Woolly Sheep — Shepherd's Huts & Bell Tent in West Wales

The Woolly Sheep's handcrafted shepherd's huts sit within 4 acres of private, secluded gardens on our smallholding in West Wales, on the border of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire — perfectly placed for beautiful beaches, the foothills of the Preseli mountains, and the Pembrokeshire coastal path, which starts just 10 miles away at Pendine. Every stay includes a welcome basket on arrival, quality bed linen and towels, and traditionally woven 'Melin Tregwynt' soft furnishings from a local Welsh woollen mill. Enjoy a drink as the sun goes down from your outdoor seating area, with alfresco dining on the supplied fire pit/barbecue. Coals, kindling and logs are available at our on-site Shepherds Store, along with eggs, local produce and essentials. Choose from Cwtch yr Oen Bach, a cosy two-berth hut with its own wood-fired hot tub; Llety'r Bugail, sleeping four with a double bed and two single bunks. There's a private children's play area, with hens, ducks, sheep, lambs and pygmy goats roaming the fields and paddocks nearby. Breakfast baskets, celebration cakes and homemade treats from the farm kitchen can be arranged (48 hours' notice for special occasions). Ample free parking on site — access is a short walk through the garden across an open grassed area, so wellies or country boots are recommended. Things to do nearby: some of the UK's most beautiful beaches with puffins, dolphins and seals; historic Welsh castles; the boutique towns of Narberth, Saundersfoot and Tenby; and the Dylan Thomas trails at Laugharne.
