Stable End, Cornish rural escape.

Stable End is a modern, spacious converted farm building at one end of the yard at Fanolas Farm, on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It sleeps two to four guests in two bedrooms: one has a double bed, and the second has a zip linked bed that can be made up as a double or as two singles. The bathroom has a separate shower and a bath. There is a full kitchen with a gas hob and oven, a microwave, a toaster and coffee making facilities. The garden is private and fenced off separately from the farm yard, though car parking is on the yard. The front door opens on to a deck with a dining area and a wood fired hot tub — good for a soak after a day out, and for stargazing in the clear Bodmin Moor skies once it gets dark. The garden runs up a slight slope to a seating area and a firepit, with views over Bodmin Moor and the farmland around you. As the sun sets behind Sharp Tor it is often quite spectacular. This is a quiet rural spot, and a good base for day tripping. The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and several National Trust properties are within reach, as are the Cheesewring and the Hurlers standing stones at Minions. There is fabulous walking on Bodmin Moor, nature walks at Golitha Falls with its Inkies Smokehouse for lunches and refreshments, the Adrenalin Quarry at Liskeard, water sports at Sibleyback lake, horse trekking on the moor and alpaca walking on the moor. The south coast beaches of Looe and Polperro are about half an hour away, and the north coast surfing beaches at Polzeath and Bude are 45 to 50 minutes away. There are four pubs within four miles. A car is essential to make the most of the area, given the rural location. Bodmin Moor itself is very near and easily accessible by car. There are three other holiday lets at Fanolas Farm — Field View, Field End and Rosie's — and together they can accommodate 14 guests, so larger groups can be spread across the farm.

A small Farm on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall. We have three stylishly converted lodges on the farm, some are dog-friendly and one has a hot tub. We also a converted horse lorry as a romantic getaway for two with a wood-fired hot tub. We have a small flock of Herdwick sheep, some goats, some chickens, ducks, geese, quail and a retired horse. There are three lodges on Fanolas Farm, sleeping 4 guests in each one. All have secure gardens. Two are dog friendly and one has a wood fired hot tub.
