Chestnut End
About This Stay
Nestled in the South Norfolk countryside on a genuine working farm, this charming 17th-century semi-detached farmhouse offers a unique and relaxing countryside stay. The property features a fully equipped modern kitchen and bathroom alongside a spacious living area, complete with a traditional log burner and a complimentary basket of firewood. There are two homely, adjoining bedrooms - one with a standard double bed and the other with a king-size bed. Please note that the bedrooms are connected, with access to the king-size bedroom via the double bedroom, making the property particularly suited to families, couples or guests travelling together. Notably, the farmhouse has retained many of its original features, including stunning exposed beams, low ceilings and doorways, and a steep, Grade II listed staircase. Thoughtfully adapted over the years, the property strikes the perfect balance between preserving the beautiful historic features and providing all the modern home comforts required for an enjoyable stay. Outside, the property benefits from a private, enclosed garden space, offering plenty of privacy and making it ideal for guests travelling with pets. The garden features a seating and outdoor dining area. Private parking is available directly next to the house, while a selection of local pubs and shops can be reached within a short drive of the property. Set amongst a genuine working farm, you may see and hear everyday farm life during your stay, adding to the property’s unique countryside character. Well-behaved pets are welcome, making this an ideal base for exploring the surrounding Norfolk countryside and walking routes.

A 500-acre family-run livestock farm set in the heart of the South Norfolk countryside. The farm is predominantly grassland and woodland, home to our beef suckler herd, Ironroc pigs and grass-fed lamb. Alongside our farming enterprise, we are developing a range of complementary rural businesses. Chestnut End, our recently completed 17th-century semi-detached farmhouse holiday let, will soon be available for bookings, offering guests the opportunity to stay on the farm and enjoy the surrounding countryside. We are also transforming a former milking parlour into a farm shop, café and events space, bringing a new lease of life to an important part of the farm’s history. Due to open in the near future…
