Whether you are planning days of exploring, a quiet break from everyday life, or a simple chance to breathe, Swallow gives you a warm and welcoming base in nature. Wake to morning coffee with views across the fields, set off on gentle walks straight from the door, then return for relaxed evenings around the firepit under the stars. Swallow is one of two eco-friendly glamping pods at Hoe Grange Holidays. Fully insulated, thoughtfully finished and carefully designed, it is a calm and comfortable hideaway for solo travellers and couples who want to switch off and enjoy the countryside at their own pace. Inside, the pod feels light, spacious and cleverly arranged, with plenty of room to move around. The kingsize pull-out bed is dressed with soft 100% cotton bedding, with ensuite shower room for added comfort. The kitchenette has everything you need for easy meals and relaxed breakfasts, including a breakfast bar with chairs, an induction hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a small fridge with freezer space. Outdoors, you will find a picnic table and seating where you can sit back and soak up the peaceful surroundings. Swallow is made for comfort in every season, with double glazing, infrared heating, free WiFi and USB charging points. There is also a firepit and BBQ for laid-back outdoor cooking, with logs available from the farm shop. Everything has been considered, from crockery and utensils to a torch and OS maps marked with our favourite local walks. When you arrive, a generous welcome pack will be waiting for you, including homemade bread, Peak District milk and butter, fresh eggs from our free-range chickens, handmade oatie biscuits, proper ground coffee, locally made soap, and seasonal flowers from the garden to brighten your stay. Dogs are more than welcome at Swallow. One large dog or two small dogs can join you, and they will be looked after with just as much care as you are. There is space for them to snooze inside, dog-friendly pub walks from the door, and a warm outdoor shower for rinsing muddy paws after adventures in the hills. A lead anchor point means your dog can safely relax outside the pod, perhaps enjoying a sunny snooze while you take in the view. Your doggy welcome pack includes towels, bowls, maps of our favourite walks, a soft throw for sofa snuggles, and even an “on holiday at Hoe Grange” dog tag. There is no extra charge for dogs, just a refundable bond. For guests who want to explore further, free adult bike loan is available, along with a secure cycle shed. EV charging is available on site using the Tap app, making it easier to enjoy a lower-impact journey and stay. Swallow has been built from sustainable materials and is powered by renewable energy.
