Feed the goats
About This Experience
The pygmy goats come trotting over as soon as they see you, ready for their feed. You can hold out your hand and let them take it from you, watching how each one has its own way of pushing in for the next mouthful. It is a slow, hands-on sort of visit, with plenty of time to stand and watch them. This is a good one for anyone who wants to be close to the animals rather than look at them over a fence. Children tend to love it, and so do adults who thought they were just coming along to watch. The goats are small, so even a nervous first-timer can feed them without feeling crowded. Expect to be on your feet for most of it, and to have your hand licked. Wear something you don't mind getting a bit mucky, and boots or shoes you can wipe off afterwards, as goats will nuzzle and lean in. Bring a coat if the weather looks changeable, since you'll be outdoors. There's no rush to it — you feed, you watch, you take your time, and you head off when you've had your fill.
