Our low-impact living hut relies not on the energy grid, but a planet-friendly battery storage system. Whether you are looking to disconnect for a quiet weekend or completely drop out of the modern grid, unplugging from the everyday grind. Unplug from the digital world and embrace the serenity of this retreat. Without WiFi or a TV, you’ll have the opportunity to reconnect with nature. Explore beautiful bike rides and scenic walks that are right on your door step. Pets are more than welcome in our pet-friendly retreat. However, we are a working farm, so ask that all dogs must be kept under control and kept on a lead where livestock are near. After a day of exploring, return to the cosy confines of the shepherd’s hut where the comforting warmth of a wood burning stove awaits. Cap off your day by visiting the local pubs, they offer a warm and inviting atmosphere with a delicious cuisine. The shepherd’s hut features a second cabin for the loo and shower only a metre of two away from the hut. Willow Bank was set up in the family and has been listed for the last 3 years gaining superhost status. We have recently taken it over and look forward to hosting guests new and old. The Space: - Very close proximity to London. It is a 30 mins train from London Euston to Milton Keynes Central. After that it is a short 17 miles drive from the station to the hut. - Totally off grid with no access to traditional power sources - Located next to a picturesque brook on our farm - Kitchen area equipped with a gas hob, sink and cupboards - Bedroom area features a comfortable king size bed with fresh linens - The living area includes a dining table and two chairs - Wood-burning stove - Outside area includes a BBQ for outdoor cooking and dining and a firepit - Bathroom area includes a toilet, shower, loo, basin and towels - No Wifi or TV for a truly unplugged experience - Pet-friendly accommodation - Fantastic local pubs for dining and socializing Willow Bank is located in a rural and remote location. There is parking and then a short 10 minute walk to the hut through the wood and along the brook. A trolley is provided for transporting luggage to the hut. A torch will be needed if arriving in the dark. It is a beautiful area full of nature, including the local residents of roe deer, foxes and owls all living in the wood. During the spring there will be lambs skipping about the fields. Although there is no WiFi, you can pick up phone signal and 4G/5G.
