Tractor Driving

The essence of farm life is a tractor, and we offer a Tractor Driving Experience here at Kirkwood- Real Farms. After being shown and familiarising yourself with the controls, you may find yourself loading, then linking up to,and towing (possibly reversing) a trailer, moving bales or heavy objects, unloading feed, or tackling other chores that require the might of our tractor. It's an unforgettable hands-on experience that gives you a real taste of life on the farm. Only one person can do this experience at a time (1 hour), so you'll need to book your time slot and pay before you arrive. Tractor driving can get dirty (but it's got to be one of the most enjoyable) of pastimes, especially if it's been raining, so wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a bit muddy. Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions we are unable to allow children under the age of 12 to go tractor driving. There is the possibility of the Vintage tractor add-on for 5 or 10 minutes at the end...a 1962 MF35. Great for photos.

Kirkwood is a Real Farm that welcomes guests. Anyone staying in our 2/3 Star accommodation (which sleeps up to 32) can immerse themselves into several genuine countryside experiences (5 Star) and enjoy delicious foods straight from the farm. A small number of experiences (driving Quads, Diggers and Tractors) are available to day visitors when booked in advance.
