Safari Lodge Safari Lodge This is what you will find in your safari lodge: For the stove: Seasoned wood, firelighters and kindling: We provide sufficient split logs and sticks for normal usage of the wood burning stove which has been seasoned for at least a year, thereafter wood is £9 a net/bag. The BBQ’s work best with charcoal and can also be purchased in the Honesty Shop or from nearby garages and supermarkets. Kitchen with Gas Hob and Belfast Sink & Electric Fridge: Tea towels, oven gloves, pots & pans, utensils, knives, crockery, cutlery, glasses, salt & pepper pots, whistling kettle that works on your stove or the gas hob. First aid kit & torch. Bedrooms: The lodge sleeps 6 persons: (each lodge has a king bed, a double cabin bed and two single beds). In each bedroom you will find a bed made up with duvet covers, a 13 tog hypoallergenic duvets, electric blankets, hot water bottles and blankets. Loo/Shower: All tents each have their own private hot showers and proper flushing loos. We provide two loo rolls, a hand towel, liquid soap and hand cream. There are towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, cotton wool and cotton buds. Welcome Pack We provide a starter welcome pack of cooking oil, ground & instant coffee, (cafetieres are standard in all tents), tea bags, hot chocolate, sugar and a pint of milk. Along with tea lights, candles and holders, foil, cling film, kitchen roll, 2 bin bags and washing up liquid. Lighting & Power Each lodge has electric lighting in key areas, plus solar lanterns which can be used in the bedrooms & outside. Outside there are solar lights on the path to the lodges. Due to fire risk we do not allow candles inside the bedrooms of the lodges, but these maybe used on the outside deck areas and on the dining table. Further candles are available to purchase from the Honesty Shop. Lodges have usb sockets to charge small devices plus a medical socket on request. Babies & Toddlers There are a limited number of travel cots and highchairs available as well as changing mats and melamine crockery – please let us know in advance on your booking form, so we know what to leave in your lodge. There is also a microwave available in the Honesty Shop, if you need to sterilise bottles or quickly defrost some food. Hot Tub - wood fired Hot tubs are subject to availability and must be booked for the full duration of your stay, in advance direct with Lower Keats (to check avaliabity, extra wood is included) which will get it to get it to temperature. It initially takes 3-6 hours to heat up but will be faster on the following day/s. You will need to read through all the information before use regarding their safe operation and will have to adhere to the safety rules that are clearly affixed next to the hot tub. Failure to do so could result in an additional cleaning fee of £50. Most guests use the hot tubs responsibly but in exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to close a hot tub if we believe the guidelines are not being followed or guest behaviour could cause damage to themselves or the hot tub or there is excessive noise at night. We will not refund the hot tub rental price in these circumstances. We have tried to anticipate the basics you may need as well as some of the luxuries for your holiday. The Honesty Shop at Lower Keats can be used to source your meals or breakfasts. If you decide to use the Honesty Shop during your stay, there are clipboards for each tent in the shop to record your spending. Please settle your clipboard bill before you leave either in cash or you may settle by bank transfer, if over £60.
