Calf Feeding at Noddy's Ark
About This Experience
This is a private calf feeding session, just your group and the calves. You'll be able to bottle feed up to five hungry calves per session per group, so there's plenty of bottles to go round and everyone gets a turn. The feeding is done through the safety of a fence. That's not to keep you away from the calves — it's because they can be pushy when hungry, and a calf that's spotted a bottle doesn't much care what's in its way. Standing at the fence means you can get close, hold the bottle out and watch them feed without being barged about. It suits families and anyone who fancies getting properly hands-on with young stock. Children of three years and under come in free on a one-to-one basis with a paying adult. Do be aware that younger children will need help holding a bottle — they're heavier than they look once a calf starts pulling on them, so plan on an adult lending a hand. Under 3's are free on a 1:1 basis. We also offer free carer places for SEN Wear something you don't mind getting a bit mucky, and footwear you can stand about in. Calves are messy eaters and there's usually some slurping and spillage. The session runs for around 27 minutes, which is about right for a group to work round the calves without them losing interest. It ends when the bottles are empty and the calves have settled — expect them to lose interest in you fairly quickly once the milk's gone. We Feed at 8am, 9am, 10am, 1pm, 2pm,3pm,6pm,7pm,8pm However these can also be booked via our own website so avialability is dependent on that, but we will do our best to accomodate you.

Noddy's Ark is part of our working family farm run by Beth Blackman. A chance for her to share her wonderful animals with you through private animal encounters. Goat Walking or Cuddle & Groom Sessions, Alpaca Walking, Lamb Feeding and we've just added Calf Feeding. We are not a big busy farm park or visitor centre, there are strictly no 'walk ins' to see the animals, it's visits by appointment only and you will always be the only visitors. Making it ideal for our SEN guests as well as for those who want a one to one more special experience. This is your opportunity to come and meet the animals, learn more about them and how to look after them from a real farmer with a wealth of knowledge. Give them a fuss and take pictures with them and maybe go for a walk with them
