Corporate hire at White Heron Estate: a working farm that knows how to host. White Heron Estate is a working Herefordshire farm with vineyards, apple orchards and a long agricultural story behind it, and it is also one of the most characterful places in the Marches to bring a group together. If you organise meetings, training days, board sessions, supplier days or member events for a farming business, a co-operative, a levy body, a land agency, a machinery dealership or an agri-supply company, or any other business, this is a venue where your delegates will feel at home from the moment they turn off the lane. The Colloquy The Colloquy is our largest meeting space, offering a high standard of meeting and residential facilities for corporate events, off-site management meetings, training workshops and more. Up to 40 people can be comfortably hosted in the conference area, with several break-out meeting spaces alongside it for smaller working groups, one to ones or syndicate sessions. It is an impressive country house set in glorious Herefordshire countryside, which makes it a rather different proposition to a ring road hotel with a partition wall and a jug of squash. Our team is on hand throughout to make sure the day runs smoothly, from the first coffee to the last handshake. All conference bookings include a minimum of 1 night booking (24 hour slot). A boardroom in the vineyard For a meeting space with a difference, we have a vineyard-set outdoor boardroom table. It is a good place to get the creativity going, to talk through a succession plan, a diversification idea or a season that did not go the way anyone hoped, with the vines in front of you and the hills beyond. Plenty of the best farming conversations happen outdoors, so we built somewhere for them to happen properly. Time between sessions Delegates can refresh their minds with a walk around the grounds between meetings, or take an e-bike tour around the White Heron Estate. Private guided e-bike tours and walking tours with a tasting can be arranged for corporate and private groups, which gives you a ready-made afternoon activity without anyone needing to get back in a car. For farming groups, a tour of the estate doubles as a working visit: vineyards, orchards, land management and a fourth-generation family business that has had to make the same decisions yours has. Stay longer The Colloquy offers residential facilities and we request a minimum of 1 night stay for every booking and there is further accommodation across the estate at The Sherriffs, The Lodge, The Forge, Field Cottage and Gardener’s Cottage. We welcome two day conferences, residential training, board away days and team retreats where the evening matters as much as the agenda. Dinner, a walk, e-biking around the farm and vineyard, an early start and no commute in between. Drinks made here Whittern Farms is the beating heart of White Heron Estate and our sister company White Heron Drinks. Tastings can be built into your day, whether that is a short session at the end of a conference or a longer experience for a group you are looking after. Tastings include our signature British Cassis, British Framboise and Sparkling Wine, produced from the vines and blackcurrants growing on the farm. A location for film, TV and photography White Heron Estate is well suited to film or TV location work and features. It has appeared on countryside based programmes including Tractor Ted, Countryfile, The Hairy Bikers, Salvage Hunters and How It’s Made. It has vineyards, apple orchards and a stunning backdrop of rolling hills with far-reaching views of north Herefordshire. The properties lend themselves to various periods and locations, from The Sherriffs, a large Queen Anne house, to the Colloquy, a Victorian building with surrounding lodges and cottages. For agricultural brands, machinery manufacturers and food producers shooting product, brochure or campaign content, it gives you farmland, buildings, planting and landscape within one estate and one point of contact. Celebrations, awards evenings and intimate weddings The estate also works well for weddings, celebration events, long service dinners and family occasions. We offer a rural retreat for wedding celebrations, with exclusive use of the house and grounds for up to 40 guests staying in the Colloquy complex. Planning your event Every enquiry is personally handled by our property team who will talk you through spaces, numbers, catering, accommodation and timings, and who will say plainly if a date or a format is not going to work. Enquiries are welcome for single days, residentials and repeat annual bookings. Bespoke packages can be built around conferences, corporate breaks, retreats and group tours, and the estate is used year round: winter for planning and strategy days, spring and summer for outdoor sessions and vineyard hospitality, autumn for harvest-time visits when the estate is at its busiest and most interesting to walk.
