Welcome to Breaks Fold Farm, a peaceful, family-run traditional hill farm, campsite, and shepherd's hut glamping site run by Richard and Louise Pullan. We are 4th-generation hill farmers here in the stunning Washburn Valley, North Yorkshire. Completely non-commercial and offering a relaxed rural location on the edge of Thruscross Reservoir, our 225-acre farm is home to a mixed flock of sustainable livestock, including hardy Herdwick and traditional Swaledale sheep. It provides the ultimate tranquil base to explore the Nidderdale National Landscape and the wider Yorkshire Dales area. Our spacious grass field operates on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing you to pick your own perfect spot to pitch up in this blissful rural location. To protect the peaceful, rural atmosphere of our farm, our grass pitches are strictly reserved for: Traditional Tents (separate bookings required for multiple tents) Roof Tents & Tentboxes Small, short-wheelbase campervans (e.g., standard VW campers with regular driveaway awnings) Electric Hook-Up Camping & Touring Pitches | Washburn Valley | Nidderdale | Yorkshire Dales Enjoy a comfortable, hassle-free stay with our premium pay-as-you-go electric hook-up pitches at Breaks Fold Farm. Situated in a dedicated area separate from our main grass campsite, these completely level pitches are perfectly designed for conventional campervans, motorhomes, caravans, or large tents looking for extra convenience in the scenic Yorkshire Dales landscape. Pitch Specifications & Size Limits To ensure a comfortable and safe setup, please double-check that your entire outfit fits within our maximum pitch dimensions prior to booking: Maximum Pitch Size: 8m x 7m What’s Included: Your booking includes 1 unit (tent, caravan, motorhome, or campervan), 1 car, and an awning/gazebo, provided everything fits entirely within your designated pitch space. Unit Types: Fully suitable for standard European touring outfits. If you have a non-conventional, home-built, or sign-written van, please email us with photos and dimensions before booking to verify suitability. Enhanced Privacy: Our electric pitches are neatly fenced between units to enhance your privacy and clearly define your individual space. Smart Pay-As-You-Go Electric & Free Wi-Fi We use the modern Campavolt smart metering system to keep your electric usage fair and easy to manage: How it works: You can conveniently top up your electric meter digitally right from your pitch via the Campavolt Website. You only pay for the energy you actually use! No wasted credit: Simply refund any unused electric balance back to yourself at the end of your stay. Strong Free Wi-Fi: These pitches boast excellent, strong Wi-Fi access—perfect if you need to work remotely or stream entertainment (please note: as a rural wireless network, connection can occasionally be affected by extreme weather).
