Traditional Grass Tent Camping

Unplug and escape to our peaceful, 3-acre traditional grass camping field at Breaks Fold Farm. Located in the heart of the stunning Nidderdale National Landscape, our working hill farm offers a relaxed, back-to-nature atmosphere right on the 3 Dales Trail route. It is the perfect scenic base for hikers, cyclists, families, and solo travellers looking to explore the beautiful Washburn Valley and nearby Thruscross Reservoir. Our spacious grass field operates on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing you to pick your own perfect spot to pitch up. Our grass pitches are strictly reserved for traditional tents, roof tents & tentboxes, and small short-wheelbase campervans. We do not accept large motorhomes or caravans on our grass field. Modern on-site facilities include premium shower & toilet blocks, an information hut & kitchen with washing-up sinks and shared fridge/freezer, free basic on-site Wi-Fi, secure chargeable phone charging lockers, and a chemical waste emptying station. Raised barbecues are welcome. Fire pit hire (£12.00) includes a fire pit, bag of fuel logs, and firelighters for your entire stay (top-up logs £10.00). Campfire extras include disposable BBQs, charcoal, marshmallows with toasting sticks, and Mystical Fire packets. 2026 Pricing: Standard Grass Pitch from £22.00 per night (includes 2 adults and 1 car); Hikers/Cyclists/DofE from £10.00 per night (no car access); Children (aged 1-15) from £5.00 per night (under 1s free); Extra vehicles £3.00 per night.
