The Tup Shepherd's Hut

The Tup Tucked away in a quiet corner of Great Ashley Farm, The Tup is an adults-only shepherd’s hut set on our fourth-generation family beef farm in the Wiltshire countryside. Surrounded by woodland and fields, it’s a peaceful spot for couples looking to get away from it all, while still being within easy reach of Bradford-on-Avon and Bath. The Tup combines the character of a traditional shepherd’s hut with the comforts you would expect from modern accommodation. Inside there’s a comfortable king-size bed, underfloor heating, an en-suite shower room and a well-equipped kitchenette, making it just as suited to a cosy weekend in as it is to a longer stay exploring the area. Outside, you have your own private seating area and fire pit. It’s a lovely place to sit with a morning coffee, enjoy a drink in the evening or simply listen to the countryside around you. The hut is tucked away from the main farm buildings, giving you a real sense of privacy while still being part of a working farm. There’s plenty to see and do nearby. Bradford-on-Avon, with its historic buildings, independent shops, cafés and restaurants, is just a few minutes’ drive away. The Kennet & Avon Canal is also close by, with lovely walks and cycle routes along the towpath. Bath is around 15 minutes away, making it easy to combine a peaceful country stay with a day exploring the city. For those who enjoy getting out and about, the surrounding Wiltshire countryside is ideal for walking and cycling, and there are plenty of places to visit within easy reach, including National Trust properties, Lacock, Castle Combe, Longleat, Stonehenge, Avebury and the Cotswolds.
